How It All Started
In 2005, a group of runners wanted to create an event that would promote fitness, unite the community and put Prince Albert on the map for having one of the greatest runs.
In the first year, 150 runners signed up and the Summit Run for Fitness raised $3,000 which was donated to the Prince Albert Rotary Trail. That trail is now used as the event’s running path, which shows off the beautiful riverbank along the North Saskatchewan River.
In the last 7 years of the Summit Run we have raised a grand total of $53,125 that we have donated to local charities!
Thank you to all runners, volunteers and sponsors for your continued support.
